It has been suggested that the best strategy to improve professionalism in the media today would be through the promotion of investigative reporting which is best achieved by training, rewarding best practices and, resource development.

The Wole Soyinka Centre for Investigative Journalism (WSCIJ) has generated an enviable profile in the media industry with its quality objectives and as the first organization to award works in investigative reporting in Nigeria. Very important to note, is the interest it spurred and generated among the crop of Nigerian reporters to pursue investigative reports.

To help renew positive values that directly connects media reporting to democratic growth while aiding the mechanisms for the prevention, investigation and prosecution of corrupt practices, in both public and private sector, WSCIJ is inviting organisations and individuals to come to its aid by supporting any segment of the core areas of focus of the centre - training, award and resource development, while thanking those good spirited organisations who have responded to our call.
